We are now accepting submissions for 2-D art, 3-D art, pottery, blown glass, jewelry, etc. to be featured and sold in an upscale store featuring art by local artists.

The store is located in a new retail space on Barrett Parkway and will be opening in early November 2009 just in time for the holiday shopping season. Art will be sold on a consignment basis in the store with standard 50/50 consignment terms.

We are only accepting art that appropriately fits the categories of 2-D paintings (acrylic, watercolor, oil, mixed media), 3-D art (sculptures, decorative and functional pottery), hand blown glass, and handmade jewelry. Other handmade gift type items will be considered as long as the items are high quality.

An important goal for our retail store is to offer our customers art and hand made items that are high quality and affordable. Therefore, we encourage all submissions to include examples of prices.

Photoshop Retoucher

PhotoShop portrait retoucher position available in Calhoun. This is a full time, short term position. The job will start around the third week on October and go through late December. You must be able to work 40 hours per week and be willing to put in overtime if necessary.

You must be familiar with PS CS3 or CS4. Adobe LightRoom experience will be a plus. Total knowledge of these programs is not necessary as all you will be doing is portrait retouching. As long as you have a basic understanding of PhotoShop and can do basic retouching we can train you for exactly what we need you to do. That being said, we prefer someone with a strong working knowledge of PhotoShop and LightRoom.

You will have the primary function of retouching portraits and printing them on an Epson large format printer. You will also be cutting, laminating and getting the pictures ready for our clients. You must be able to work quickly in a production environment.

The job is in Calhoun, Ga. Tele-commuting is not an option.

Pay can be negotiated. Hourly, Salary, or Contract Labor would be considered.
