The Accounts Receivable position is to assist the Accounting Department by providing administrative and clerical services in order to ensure efficient and accurate billing operations.

This is a part-time, nonexempt position (max. 30 hours/wk)

Job duties and responsibilities:

1. Performing day-to-day processing of financial transactions:

• Recording and processing check receipts

• Preparing daily deposits for the bank

• Resolving customer disputes, repayment plans, and billing reconciliations

2. Providing Administrative Support:

• Answering phones, copy, file and fax

• Placing collection calls to past due customers

• Preparing and mailing monthly statements

• Working closely with the Sales Department’s managers

• Reconciliation of payments

3.Maintaining accounts and up to date financial information:

• Maintaining accounts receivable past due balances at or below an acceptable level deemed

• Maintaining an account base through telephone contact or written correspondence

4. Performing other projects, as assigned

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree with accounting related courses preferred

• At least one year of office experience in an accounting capacity

We are looking for someone with experience in all of the following:

QuickBooks

Collections (This is most important. You must have extensive, direct customer contact experience with collections in order to be considered for this position.)
