We are looking for an experienced individuals who have knowlage in the glass and metal industry to help advance our estimating, project management, sales and design drafting and manufacturing departments.

The successful base candidate should have 3-5 years of design/sales experience, be proficient in estimating of glass and glazing systems using the companys established programs. Have a strong working knowlage of Excel for estimating and other related computer skills; develop accurate budgets and manage each phase of the project using M.S. Project Manager. This position is the first point of contact for all our clients and must demonstrate effective communication and coordination with our customers. The Estimator must understand and ensure that projects can be accomplished within a prescribed time frame, in compliance with the contract documents and in accordance with the project budget.

Advanced Positions tasks would include: organize submittals, procure materials and manage project from inception to completion; manage multiple projects and review the work products of other project managers; prioritize and schedule to meet contractor timelines. Coordinate activities, personnel, and vendors to ensure project is completed on schedule. Prepare budgets, change orders and reports as required. You must have good communication skills both written and verbal. Work habits that check project specifications, architecturals, shop drawings, purchase orders, field mockups and installations to be in compliance with contract documents and budgets. Familiarity with MS office suite (Word, Excel and Project) required. Autocad experience is required.

Review Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) provided by the Energy Engineers for technical and financial viability

Input other costs into the financial model including but not limited to general conditions, insurance, performance and payment bond costs, NORESCO engineering, construction management, commissioning, and savings measurement and verification costs.

Work with Measurement & Verification Engineers and Energy Engineers to develop cost-effective, risk appropriate M&V plan for the customer.

Proposal Writing and Review/QC:

Senior Project Developer will be supported by a Proposal Administrator (PA) to review, edit, and assemble the proposal and Detailed Audit Documents. However, the Senior PD will “own” the document.

Senior PD will write Executive Summaries making a strong business case for the selection of NORESCO, our project approach, and the Proposed ECMs. Also responsible for other financial/technical sections of the proposal.

Review the ECM Write-Ups and other technical proposal sections provided by the Energy Engineers.

Coordinate the proposal document strategy and tactics with the Account Executive.

Management and Coordination of Proposal Team:

The Senior PD is responsible for managing the proposal team consisting of an Account Executive, Energy Engineer(s), a Lighting Auditor/Designer, a Construction Manager, and M&V Specialist.

Coordinate all audit, engineering and proposal efforts.

Guide site audits and coordinate both internal and external engineering resources.

Host weekly conference calls to communicate strategy and tactics, review team member’s responsibilities and progress to date against milestones.

Notify NORESCO managers when team members fall behind in assignments or proposal strategy or tactics appear to be compromised.

Coordinate and host risk review meeting with NORESCO senior management for approval prior to proposal submission. Present the business case for the project.

Manage the proposal and detailed audit budgets and timelines to ensure delivery of preliminary and detailed proposals on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

7-10+ years experience in the energy engineering field. Preferably in the ESCO business.

3+ years experience in the project development function.

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in an engineering or technical discipline.

MBA, PE, and CEM are not required but are considered a plus.

Very proficient with Microsoft Excel. On a scale of 1-10, candidate must be a 7+.

Proficient in MS Word and Power Point.

Strong technical writing skills.

Sales aptitude.

Strong business acumen.

General engineering knowledge of HVAC, lighting & lighting controls, DDC / pneumatic controls, and building envelope.
