WEB EDITOR – TASKS

Content management

Oversee content updates on all sections of the web site

Oversee copy editing process for all new content to ensure accuracy and consistency of style

Determine placement of new content based on web strategy and processes

Write and edit news stories for front page and other articles, as well as introductory “blurbs” and captions

Oversee weekly newsletters and eblasts

Interact with freelance writers and experts

Use content management system to upload new articles/links/files/images and edit existing content

Oversee search of new photos and images for web use; edit photos and other images for the web (cropping, optimizing, etc.)

Respond to inquiries submitted through the “contact us” form or forward to the appropriate internal contact

Periodically review all pages to ensure content is up-to-date and consistent throughout each section of the web site

Technical/Other
