Requirements:

Personal:

· Excellent speaking and written communication skills along with strong people skills. This position requires interfacing with clients, regulators, and technical industry sources to gather and relay project information and to determine the status of pending projects

· Ability to assist engineer in time management to meet project goals and deadlines. This includes the ability to follow detailed verbal instructions and take notes to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks. This also includes the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.

· Flexibility in managing and prioritizing technical tasks and administrative/office tasks.

Education:

· Must have B.S. in Environmental/Chemical Engineering, Atmospheric Science, Physical Science or related field.

Technical:

· Advanced calculation skills using Excel

· Proficient at Word, Adobe writer and very comfortable learning new software programs independently

· Excellent analytical and writing skills

· Strong math and chemistry background

· Interest, knowledge, and experience related to air quality regulations, calculation methods and environmental consulting will be preferred

Duties Include:

· Assisting in the preparation of air emissions-related documentation for companies and regulatory agencies as directed by the project engineer:

o Procuring, organizing, and tabulating project data. This includes conducting information research utilizing the internet; company, industry and regulatory agency contacts; and in-house files

o Preparing technical reports including tables and forms

o Procuring, evaluating and preparing area maps, facility plot plans, and drawings

o Developing Excel calculation spreadsheets

o Procuring and evaluating MSDS sheets, to obtain relevant physical/chemical data such as vapor pressures, boiling points, and speciated ingredients to be used in air pollutant evaluations

o Utilization of various computer programs used in air emissions evaluations. This entails inputting data parameters such as geographic coordinates, equipment parameters, meteorological data, chemical analyses, and pollutant emission rates.

o Report formatting, copying and distribution/mailing

o Project budget tracking and billing

· Handling incoming and outgoing telephone calls to clients, regulators and vendors with a goal of ensuring satisfaction while assisting to manage engineer’s time

· Interfacing with clients, regulators and technical vendors to handle special requests, gather information pertaining to projects including checking the status of pending submittals to regulatory agencies

· Preparation, organization and management of project files.

· General office administration including copying, filing, faxing, mailing and miscellaneous office organization
