Technical Support Specialist (Dallas)

Open Source E-Mail software Development Company seeking support technicians with real experience in the Linux server and Windows desktop environments.

Job Description:

The Technical Support Specialist works directly with customers and partners to resolve software-related issues for the Bynari Insight family of products. Technical support is performed through email correspondence and/or telephone support. Technical support is also responsible for all product documentation, whitepapers, and KDB.

The successful candidate will have experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems (XP – Vista) as well as experience with Microsoft Outlook (versions 2000-2007). A solid working knowledge of Linux server is essential. The ability to troubleshoot unique issues is a must.

Bynari, Inc. is a “communications” company. Our technical support personnel must be well-spoken and possess the ability to communicate with proper grammar and etiquette by both phone and email.

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal skills

• Excellent writing skills

• Positive Attitude

• Ability to follow workflow processes

• Working knowledge of any of the following Linux Operating Systems

o Debian

o Ubuntu

o RedHat

o CentOS

o Fedora

o SuSE

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook (versions 2000-2007)

• Strong working knowledge of Windows XP – Windows Vista Operating Systems

• Experience working with Open Source Software

• Solid understanding of computer networks – minimum 3 years IT Experience

• Ability to function in a fast-paced, team environment

• Self-starter – someone that can take a task from start to finish

Additional Skills:

These skills are not necessary but would be helpful in selecting candidates.

• Windows Exchange Installation, Configuration, and Administration

• Other spoken and/or written languages

• Experience with the following:

o Postfix

o Cyrus IMAP

o OpenLDAP

o SpamAssassin

o PHP

o VMWare – or other virtualization software
