About the position

Everbridge, Inc is seeking a Release Coordinator for its software Product Management team. The Release Coordinator, with guidance from the Product Manager and/or Sr. Director of Product Management, ensures critical software release objectives are communicated, performs activities to facilitate product releases, and ensures release schedules are met.

The Release Coordinator will track each release through transition phases to completion while ensuring that key milestones are defined and will work with the Product Manager and other team managers to meet those milestones. This person will also collaborate with the Product Manager and other team managers to identify conflicts, dependencies and risks for releases and to ensure that plans are in place to mitigate the risks.

The Release Coordinator will be responsible for reporting regular statuses of individual releases to the Product Manager and Sr. Director of Product Management and for coordination of meetings to facilitate collaboration between delivery and operational/support teams.

The Release Coordinator will be expected to:

 Actively participate in the planning and scheduling of software releases

 Arrange release and planning meetings and communicate release issues and status to the team

 Translate the strategic release plan (roadmap) and requirements to tactical, actionable project tasks and deliverables with clearly communicated delivery dates and responsibility assignments

 Drive the release to schedule through lifecycle transitions and ensure involvement and action from each contributor team

 Quickly and clearly demonstrate the affect of potential risk, dependencies or conflicts to the release schedule in order to facilitate management decisions

 Prepare internal and external status reports for individual releases as needed

 Write and review Standard Operating Procedures related to release management

 Collaborate with team members in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and action plans.

 Assist with other product management related projects as needed

The Release Coordinator will have:

 An understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release planning

 Previous experience with aggressive project schedules and high visibility projects

 Meticulous change management and task management skills

 Ability to operate in fast paced environment with changing priorities and ambiguity

Qualifications

Education

 A Bachelor’s degree is desirable, preferably in an appropriate information technology field.

Required

 At least two (2) years of relevant work experience in an information technology environment or a related field.

 Strong analytical, problem solving, oral and written communication skills, leadership, and attention to detail.

Preferred

 Experience with Saas products preferred.
