Banking Systems Conversion Project Manager-Long Term (Minneapolis)
Our client is looking for a consultant to provide project coordination and management for the debit card team for customer, card, account conversions. The succesful candidate will have experience supporting, at a very tactical level, large complex conversion projects that require integration of business processes and technology and the effect on the customer experience
This project is estimated to last 12 months with a strong possibility of extension to 18 months. The project will be paid on a monthly W2 salary basis and will be benefits eligible (to include medical, dental, 401k etc).

Responsibilities
For this large Financial Institution work within the merger team, provide project coordination and management for the debit card team for customer, card, account conversions.
The migration of customers from one financial services company to another will be accomplished in “waves,” state by state and as well with the LOB’s doing large one time migrations in parallel to the “waves.” All of this affects the customer experience and each has significant systems and operational implications.
Our project management consultant will have experience supporting, at a very tactical level, large complex conversion projects that require integration of business processes and technology and the effect on the customer experience.
The M Squared consultant will facilitate and support the Program Managers. Specific responsibilities include:
· Understand and thus support the over-arching project vision and support the program level plan for all initiatives related to conversion
· Update the necessary issues management, quality assurance and risk management tasks in the project plans and logs
· Support the weekly progress meetings and special working meetings, taking minutes and documenting updates to the project plans discussed, communicate information, obtain updates on all projects as needed outside of meetings and facilitate the gathering of data required to update the issues logs for each program
· Facilitate the updates to weekly progress reports that Program Managers use in meetings with the larger Internet Integration Team and Enterprise Level Management
The M Squared project consultant will work with multiple team members. M Squared understands that documentation must be produced to keep the entire group well informed, and anticipate issues and opportunities with regard to keeping everyone on track and progressing toward the ultimate goal.
The consultant will be needed 40 hours per week for 12 months with possibility of extension for six additional months. Presentation of candidates will be Thursday, October 22nd with a start date in early November. Work will be onsite in the company’s downtown Minneapolis location.
Deliverables
· Ownership (including documenting, gathering issue updates, customer research information) to update project action items and open issues list
· Use of formal and informal (where appropriate) project management tools to support and enable all team members to be effective
· Update of detailed deliverable milestones include;
Value to the Client
Industry Experience
· Financial Services experience is a plus
· Previous client experience – acquirer or acquiree – is beneficial
Functional Experience
· Successful project coordination within complex projects
· Experience with Conversions (cards, accounts, etc.) within context of the Financial Services industry.
Personality/Other Attributes
· Aptitude to ask the right questions and persistent in follow up to outstanding action items
· Excellent communication and matrix management skills.
· Ability to work independently within the context of a large organization.
· Ability to build relationships and interact with various levels of stakeholders
· Comfortable in a fast-paced/dynamic environment
· Self-directed and motivated; able to resolve issues and suggest solutions with minimal guidance
